Job Description

Hours: 3rd Shift (SUN-FRI 11:30pm-8am) & 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri 3:30pm-12am)

Pay Rate: $20.00 an hour.

The AZEK Company/Return Polymers Indianapolis division is seeking a Recycle Operator to operate machinery and equipment for the Recycle Plant. Core Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations
  • Set up, run, shut down, troubleshoot and clean production lines
  • Understand, follow and apply information from the Run Instruction Sheet (RIS).
  • Safely operate a sit-down forklift and man lift
  • Maintain and properly complete logs for production ledgers (inbound, outbound, rejects and run) and quality control.
  • Complete Ready for Sale (RFS) tags.
  • Compute weights via calculator, competently using correct gross, tare and net figures.
  • Weigh material in boxes and hoppers. Correctly record weights in appropriate places.
  • Take regular and proper samples and systematically probe boxes as directed by RIS. Report inequities to lab personnel and supervisor.
  • Thoroughly clean boxes, lids and skids prior to using them. Determine condition of packaging and dispose of any substandard material prior to reusing.
  • Complete the Run Number Time Log at the end of each shift.
  • Update RIS as needed and pass information along to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized throughout the shift.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work within company values
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Must have compacity for making mathematical computations with adding, subtracting, and calculating percentages via calculators
  • Ability to ascertain the gross, tare, and net weights of each box of material processed
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift material weighing up to 55 pounds
  • Requires work on platforms, climbing stairs and ladders, being off the ground and under equipment
  • Ability to work with dirt/dust, noise, and around extremely hot temperatures and with high heat material
  • Ability to work in a fast-based environment, handle multiple tasks, and be detailed oriented
  • Work schedule flexibility to accommodate needs of the business.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED, preferred
