Your Next Opportunity:
Boral are actively seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Recycling business in QLD. Reporting directly to the National General Manager, you will have a direct & important role in leading the growth of Boral’s Recycling business in QLD,
We are seeking an industry experienced, high energy and results driven professional to take charge and lead the process of integrating our Recycling business into the QLD market.
Playing an integral role in the foundation our new Recycling site in Stapylton, you will sell inbound and outbound recycled materials and work to successfully deliver our products and services within our existing markets, whilst identifying and developing of new streams of opportunities within the construction and recycling markets.
Your day will involve:
  • Building and maintaining strategic customer relationships
  • Developing and implementing bid strategies for various projects
  • Preparing tender submissions, including Boral product submissions
  • Market testing, planning and scoping to prepare for the integration of a new site
  • Managing contractual aspects of tenders and price submissions to ensure risk is mitigated and opportunities identified, including identifying alternative proposal opportunities in tenders
  • Driving business development initiatives and process improvements in areas
  • Undertaking market research around customers, competitors and industry
  • Marketing innovative products and solutions in conjunction with the various Boral product teams to recommend service offerings and potential growth opportunities
  • Participating in local S&OP sessions and being a brand representative of Boral
You will have:
  • Extensive experience in Business Development within the construction or waste industry
  • Experience in Project Management or knowledge of the construction process is desirable
  • Experience selling materials in a business development capacity or experience in a related industry – Concrete, Construction Materials, Logistics etc.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and strong emotional intelligence
  • Proactive and resilient individual
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to assess contractual risks
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • High level of reporting and financial acumen
  • Flexibility required for travel.
