At our Bayswater depot, we have multiple part-time and casual positions available, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, environmentally minded individuals to join our diverse and supportive team.

About the Role

As a Recycling Attendant, you’ll play a vital role in our CDS operations. This hands-on job involves:

  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Inspecting and sorting eligible containers to meet recycling guidelines
  • Processing customer transactions accurately and ensuring proper refunds
  • Moving containers using appropriate equipment
  • Following safety procedures to keep everyone secure and the site running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking friendly, motivated people who are passionate about making a difference.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a positive, approachable personality
  • Prioritise safety and work well in a WHS-focused environment
  • Communicate effectively and enjoy working with a diverse range of customers
  • Have basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Can follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Are willing to learn—we’ll provide full training!

Your Schedule

Our depot operates from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, seven days a week. You’ll need to be flexible and available to work any day, including weekends and public holidays. Weekend and public holiday rates apply if rostered.

What You Need to Know

Successful candidates will undergo a National Police Check, a pre-employment medical assessment, and a drug test. Random drug and alcohol testing may occur at the depot.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
