As a Recruitment Specialist, you'll join our recruitment team at our central support office in Harrogate and play a key role in sourcing and recruiting care professionals to enable our local home care branches to grow. Working closely with recruitment colleagues and hiring leaders, you'll be a trusted advisor throughout the recruitment process from briefing to onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for our vacancies, ensuring a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to fully understand role requirements and deliver tailored sourcing strategies
  • Advertise job vacancies across multiple channels, including job boards, email marketing and social media
  • Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through direct sourcing methods, networks, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Conduct detailed screening calls and interviews to assess candidate suitability and cultural fit
  • Support the interview and offer process, providing guidance on best practice and ensuring a smooth process from start to finish
  • Complete pre-employment checks including DBS and reference verifications
  • Utilise the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment databases efficiently to maintain organised candidate records and track progress
  • Analyse recruitment metrics and data to identify trends, optimise processes, and improve time-to-hire and quality-of-hire outcomes
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with candidates, creating a positive employer brand and encouraging referrals

Requirements

  • Proven experience in recruitment, particularly in health or social care
  • Demonstrable experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy creation to candidate onboarding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment databases
  • Familiarity with social media recruitment and digital sourcing strategies
  • Assertive and decisive in managing recruitment processes
  • Goal-oriented with commitment to achieving recruitment targets
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Warm, patient and compassionate but also emotionally resilient and calm under pressure
  • Enthusiastic and positive 'can do' attitude with ability to motivate others
  • Commitment to providing and maintaining high standards of care and support
