About the job.

We’re looking for a Recruitment Partner to join our Resourcing and Talent Acquisition team, at National Highways, on an 12-month fixed term contract basis.

As a Recruitment Partner, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for a defined directorate(s) in the organisation and working with hiring teams to deliver successful recruitment campaigns.

Delivering expertise in candidate attraction and selection is something we pride ourselves in, and working within this fast-paced role is all about building excellent relationships across the business with stakeholders, to support resourcing needs.

But that’s not all, you’ll be joining a team of experienced and like-minded recruiters who strive to deliver exceptional customer service, deliver projects in a timely manner, and ensure we have the right people in the right roles at National Highways.

  • Lead recruitment campaigns following end-to-end recruitment process, delivering outcomes within agreed SLAs and providing excellent customer experience for both hiring managers and candidates.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement within the recruitment process, taking a lead on assigned projects.
  • Be creative in designing and delivering attraction strategies using various channels (i.e. LinkedIn, Job Boards etc.) to reach and target a range of audiences, and spark interest in National Highways career opportunities.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders, and use data, market intelligence and excellent communication skills to influence managers when designing their recruitment campaign.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior HR Business Partners, managers and senior leaders in the business to understand current and future resource requirements to be able to plan and deliver successful campaigns in partnership with third-party suppliers.

The role will be worked on a hybrid basis, with a combination of office and remote working. You will be required to attend the Birmingham office at least 2 days per week.

About you.

  • Previous proven experience in managing the entire recruitment lifecycle.
  • Able to manage and deliver against a large portfolio of vacancies, including roles at various levels of seniority and skill set.
  • Demonstratable experience in direct candidate sourcing utilising appropriate technology.
  • Experienced user of recruitment systems and sourcing channels (e.g. ATS, Social Media sites/Job Boards).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders on recruitment strategies.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
