SCOPE: The Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for attracting and integrating mission-aligned global talent to the organization. This role develops and executes recruitment and onboarding strategies for positions across the United States and internationally, leading the end-to-end candidate journey from sourcing and selection through the first 90 days of employment. The Specialist ensures an exceptional experience for candidates, new hires, and hiring managers and champions a hospitality-centered approach that reflects Seed Company culture, values, and commitment to excellence in every interaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Executes the full-cycle recruitment process including but not limited to: job posting; sourcing; screening applications; interview scheduling; attending and conducting interviews; initiating/reviewing background checks; and making formal offers to prospective staff and pre-hire coordination.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies tailored to each role, building active, passive, and diverse candidate pipelines that serve both immediate hiring needs and long-term workforce planning.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners throughout each search to align on role requirements, compensation recommendations, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Manage Seed Company’s employer presence on job boards, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms; develop recruitment collateral as needed.
- Maintain internal applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruiting reports. Recommend, track, and report key recruitment and hiring metrics.
- Attend various recruitment events to build and attract a diverse talent pool for Seed Company.
- Train and advise hiring managers on effective interview techniques and assessment methods.
- Lead and continuously improve the onboarding experience for all new hires, designing a relational, high-touch process that immerses new staff in Seed Company’s culture, mission and operations.
- Manage all onboarding logistics including pre-hire communications, equipment and workspace coordination, systems access, orientation scheduling and first week planning.
- Partner with Learning and Development to ensure all onboarding resources, tools, and learning are integrated seamlessly into the new hire experience and set staff up for long-term success.
- Gather new-hire feedback; use the data to identify gaps and continuously strengthen the onboarding experience.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment and hiring process.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain the required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies.
- Lead and/or participate in projects or task force groups that focus on issues having organization-wide impact.
- Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

TRAVEL:
When necessary for various recruitment events, and one week of domestic travel for THRIVE.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong faith in Jesus Christ as Savior; God-honoring lifestyle;
- Passion for the Word of God and provision of the Word for every people group;
- Championing the Seed Company’s vision, mission, and values;
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years of progressive experience in full-cycle recruiting in a ministry environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems, including applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to exhibit discretion in confidential situations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including high attention to detail.
