*Location:* Sagamu, Ogun State *Industry:* Pharmaceutical manufacturing *Employment type:* Contract (6 months) *Job summary* Our client is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company expanding its production operations into Sagamu, Ogun State. To support this expansion, we are seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer who will drive high-volume and strategic recruitment across production, engineering, quality, warehouse, supply chain, and corporate functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, building a strong talent pipeline within Ogun State and neighboring locations, coordinating large-scale hiring activities, and ensuring an excellent candidate experience while meeting aggressive hiring timelines. This is a project-based role for an experienced young recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. *Key responsibilities* _Talent acquisition and recruitment_ * Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition to onboarding. * Recruit for technical and non-technical positions including production operators, pharmacists, quality assurance personnel, engineers, maintenance technicians, warehouse staff, logistics professionals, supervisors, and administrative roles. * Develop recruitment strategies to meet high-volume hiring targets within agreed timelines. * Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, community engagement, and local recruitment initiatives. * Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future vacancies. * Conduct competency-based interviews and candidate assessments. * Prepare candidate shortlists and comprehensive interview reports for hiring managers. * Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and interview panels. * Carry out reference and employment verification in line with company policy. _Stakeholder management_ * Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and recruitment priorities. * Provide market intelligence on talent availability, salary trends, and recruitment challenges within Ogun State and surrounding regions. * Ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process. * Maintain strong relationships with external recruitment channels, universities, technical institutions, and community stakeholders where applicable. _Recruitment operations_ * Ensure all vacancies are accurately advertised across appropriate platforms. * Maintain recruitment data, applicant tracking records, and interview documentation. * Prepare weekly recruitment dashboards showing vacancy status, pipeline health, time-to-fill, and hiring progress. * Ensure compliance with internal recruitment policies, equal employment practices, and documentation standards. * Support onboarding activities including offer documentation, pre-employment checks, and new hire coordination. _Employer branding_ * Represent the organization professionally at recruitment fairs and hiring events. * Promote the company's employer brand within the Sagamu and Ogun employment market * Support initiatives that enhance candidate experience and attract high-quality talent. Requirements _Education_ * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline. * Professional HR certification, or equivalent is an added advantage. _Experience_ * Minimum of 3 years proven recruitment experience. * Demonstrated experience recruiting within pharmaceutical, manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, or production environments. * Strong experience managing high-volume recruitment projects. * Experience recruiting technical manufacturing roles is highly desirable. * Previous experience supporting plant start-up or business expansion projects will be an advantage. *Knowledge and technical skills* * Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes. * Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment databases. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Excellent interviewing and competency assessment skills. * Knowledge of labor market dynamics within Ogun State is desirable. * Ability to interpret job descriptions and identify suitable talent quickly. *Working conditions* This is a 6-month fixed-term contract supporting the establishment and expansion of a pharmaceutical production facility in Sagamu. The role requires frequent interaction with production leaders, departmental managers, and candidates.
