About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Manager / Recruitment Lead to oversee recruitment operations, lead and develop our recruitment team, and help drive the overall performance of emergiTEL’s recruitment function.

This is both a people leadership and hands-on recruitment role The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring job orders are properly prioritized and assigned, client KPIs are met, recruiters receive the coaching and direction they need, and recruitment efforts are continuously optimized to improve submissions, interviews, fill rates, and placements.

The Recruitment Manager / Lead will work closely with Sales, Account Management, HR, and senior leadership to ensure recruitment delivery aligns with client expectations and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and support recruiters to achieve individual and team KPIs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of the recruitment team, including submissions, interviews, placements, fill ratios, and job-order coverage.
  • Ensure all incoming job orders are reviewed, prioritized, and assigned to the appropriate recruiters.
  • Track progress on open positions and take corrective action where required, including reassigning roles or adding additional recruitment resources.
  • Ensure timely and quality candidate submissions in accordance with client-specific SLAs and KPIs.
  • Work closely with Sales and Account Management teams to understand client priorities, urgent requirements, challenges, and feedback.
  • Develop recruitment strategies for new and existing client accounts.
  • Provide recruiters with direction on sourcing strategies, candidate targeting, compensation discussions, and challenging job requirements.
  • Coach recruiters on candidate presentation, submission quality, interview preparation, and overall candidate management.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and recruitment performance reviews.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and prepare weekly and monthly reports on job orders, submissions, interviews, placements, roles filled, and lost opportunities.
  • Identify performance gaps and provide coaching, development plans, or corrective action where required.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing professional development of recruiters.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Participate in client QBRs, annual reviews, and other business review meetings as required.
  • Ensure recruitment tools, job boards, ATS platforms, and sourcing channels are being used effectively and delivering appropriate ROI.
  • Continuously review and improve recruitment processes to increase efficiency, quality, and overall delivery performance.
  • Support referral initiatives, job fairs, networking activities, and other talent attraction programs.
  • Remain hands-on with recruitment activities and manage assigned roles when required.
  • Maintain a strong candidate experience and serve as an approachable point of contact for both recruiters and job seekers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of IT or Telecom recruitment experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within a staffing or recruitment agency environment
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or managing recruiters is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end contract and permanent recruitment.
  • Proven experience working with recruitment KPIs, fill ratios, submission targets, and client SLAs.
  • Strong understanding of IT and Telecom skill sets, technologies, and market trends.
  • Experience managing multiple job orders and setting recruitment priorities based on business needs.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment systems, ATS platforms, VMS tools, sourcing platforms, and job boards.
  • Experience with platforms such as CATS, LinkedIn, Beeline, IQN, Flextrack, Taleo, Indeed, Monster, or similar systems is an asset.
