
The College of Architecture and Design seeks a Recruitment Coordinator to develop and implement strategies that recruit students to the College and support enrollment, retention, and graduation goals. This position leads on- and off-campus recruitment efforts, builds long-term relationships with prospective students and families, and collaborates with college and university partners to strengthen awareness of the College and its academic programs.
The Recruitment Coordinator will create recruitment pipelines through partnerships with high schools, community organizations, alumni, and programs that serve college-bound students from a variety of backgrounds and communities. The position uses quantitative and qualitative data to identify effective recruitment locations, audiences, and methods and to refine outreach efforts over time.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered where appropriate.
Experience: Experience directly related to the job duties, including student recruitment, admissions, outreach, prospective student engagement, event planning, or related work.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of student recruitment practices, admissions processes, outreach strategies, and prospective student engagement methods
Knowledge of recruitment events such as college fairs, high school visits, open houses, group tours, virtual information sessions, and campus visit programming
Knowledge of effective communication strategies for prospective students, families, high school counselors, alumni, community partners, and internal university stakeholders
Skill in developing and delivering presentations
Skill in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
Skill in planning and executing recruitment programs, visits, tours, and special events
Skill in Microsoft Office programs or equivalent tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, represent the College professionally, communicate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and communities, maintain and follow up with prospective student contacts, collaborate with admissions and college partners, and work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or coursework/experience connected to architecture, design, higher education, communications, marketing, or student services.
Experience: One year of experience in postsecondary student recruitment or outreach, preferably in architecture and design. Experience planning, developing, and executing recruitment programs and events.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
Skill in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or equivalent tools
Ability to learn new software; ability to build relationships with high schools, community organizations, alumni, educators, counselors, and university partners.
Work Location
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Work arrangement: Onsite
This position is not eligible for remote work because it requires regular face-to-face engagement with prospective students, families, campus visitors, college partners, and recruitment event participants. The role also requires on-campus programming, off-campus travel, evening and weekend events, and direct participation in tours, open houses, college fairs, and related recruitment activities.
