The position may be eligible for hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with UNC System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

The Recruitment and Student Success Manager-for the Teacher Education Programs provides leadership for the recruitment and student success efforts in the School of Education’s teacher education programs, including the BAEd in Elementary Education, Master of Art in Teaching (MAT) and the BEST undergraduate minor. This position is also charged with providing co-curricular support to our teacher candidates as they move into and through their programs, to support readiness for classroom teaching and resilience for impactful careers in education.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related fields
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in teacher preparation and educator workforce development
• Experience building partnerships and conducting outreach initiatives.
• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing projects and analyzing program data.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organization, presentation and public speaking skills.
• Working knowledge of best recruitment practices in higher education
• Evidence of ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team
• Experience in education, educational leadership, higher education, or a related field.
• Knowledge of K-12 teacher workforce trends.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional development programs.

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
