Recruiting Specialist: Key Responsibilities

The Recruiting Specialist is primarily responsible for recruiting dental office support staff by sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates. They will also be advising hiring supervisors and managing the candidate experience.

  • Focuses on providing excellent internal customer service to fellow MCDC colleagues working in dental centers and maintains a sense of urgency in filling open positions.
  • Coordinates job posting on Applicant Tracking Software, usage of internet recruiting, placing approved classified advertising, reviewing resumes, performing telephone interviews and reference checks; works in conjunction with dental center management.
  • Grow and maintain relationships with DA/RDA Educational Facilities. Facilitate internship opportunities within our centers for DA/RDA students. Contract recordkeeping of student affiliation agreements.
  • Screen and evaluate candidates, identifying best qualifications, to narrow submittals to hiring manager.
  • Focuses on providing a great experience for any candidate considered through excellent communication, a positive attitude and timely follow-up.

You may be a good fit for our Recruiting Specialist role if you:

  • Possess strong customer service and communication skills as well as sense of urgency.
  • Preference for dental industry knowledge having been a recruiter, dental assistant, hygienist, front desk employee, office manager, etc. Especially within a Dental Support Organization (DSO).
  • Preference for some working knowledge of recruitment processes.
  • Experience recruiting from colleges and/or trade schools preferred.
  • The ability to develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with management and all levels of internal and external contacts.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and as a reliable team member.
  • The ability to remain organized and detail-oriented while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • The preferred candidate will have dental field experience.
  • A background in sales and marketing is a distinct advantage and experience recruiting, interviewing, screening, testing, sourcing and developing pipeline strategies in recruiting and staffing are desired.
  • Candidate needs to be flexible to occasionally travel.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of related experience preferred; Associate's Degree with 5 or more years of related experience or 7 or more years of experience in lieu of degree will also be considered.
