We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Recruiting and Development Specialist in Sarasota. In this role, you will support recruiting efforts, coordinate training initiatives, and assist with employee development programs across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and prior experience in recruiting, training, or human resources within a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Effectively coordinate overall recruiting, training, and development support to ensure needs are met in a timely, high-quality manner for staffing, employee relations, training, development, recognition, performance management, and other related services as needed.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including maintaining the applicant tracking system, job postings, interview scheduling, testing, and candidate care.
- Cultivate a talent pipeline through career fairs and college campus recruiting events to increase awareness and application rate of top talent.
- Actively monitor the marketplace and industry trends to ensure competitiveness and relevance of recruitment approach and talent pool numbers.
- Prepare monthly recruiting metrics report by collecting and analyzing data and trends (advertising results; hiring time; turnover; etc.)
- Coordinate with Payroll & Benefits Specialist all internal job offers, promotions, job changes, and other compensation changes.
- Perform job analysis, develop and regularly update job descriptions.
- Provide support to CHRO with performance management; compensation; organizational change; recruitment; worker's compensation, etc.
- Provide customer service support to internal customers with performance management system, recruiting, training and development needs.
- Research, recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses as needed for employees and management to achieve operational excellence.
- Participate and support the CHRO in the development of new strategic HR initiatives and overall corporate initiatives.
- Collaborate with CHRO to foster partnerships with management to support and develop culture, increase morale, and motivate employees.
- Process workers’ compensation claims with the carrier, maintain accurate files, and update CHRO on all claims. Monitor all active claims, maintain communication with the employee, assigned manager, and Risk Specialist to ensure follow-up appointments and proper documentation are sustained.
- Participate in the safety committee; ensure proper compliance throughout the organization, assisting in investigations of accidents and preparation of reports for insurance carriers.
- Support CHRO in driving key corporate HR initiatives as requested.
- Back-up support to Payroll & Benefits Specialist.

WHAT YOU BRING:
- 5+ years of progressive corporate recruiting and training experience.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with discretion.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills combined with exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of legal recruiting and selection practices.
- Able to travel to and attend recruiting events and seminars as needed.
- Skill in writing job descriptions, memorandums, letters, and proposals.
- Proficient in HRIS and ATS systems, reporting and analytics.
- Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- High attention to detail.
- Skill in interviewing technique and process.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize competing priorities effortlessly in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HR practices and approaches.
- Knowledge of company policies, practices, and culture.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- General sedentary work requiring the use of office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, scanners and telephones
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, writing, typing, repetitive motions, hearing ability, visual acuity, and climbing stairs on occasion
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
