Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
- Design and evaluate a recruitment plan to recruit clients annually based on approved grant
- Recruit potential clients for enrollment in CC IDAHO’s Employment & Training programs
- Test, interview and ensure clients qualify and meet all the requirements for participation
- Enroll clients and assist them in setting goals and plans in education and employment
- Collaborate with other agencies and refer clients to services available
- Assume an advocate role for the low income as well as for migrant and seasonal farm workers
- Conduct Heat Stress Prevention training for farmworkers
- Advocate and educate farmworkers on worker protection standards
- Survey and research area jobs, training, educational and related services
- Recruit door-to-door, visit labor camps, farms, schools, churches, community organizations and make other appropriate contacts to inform people of services provided
- Keep up with new legislation and issues that affect our target population
- - Inform and educate interested persons as well as the community in general regarding these issues
- Submit monthly reports to the E&T Manager and the Director of Employment & Training
- Prepare and maintain client files, reports, and databases
- Attend health fairs, job fairs, retreats, workshops, conferences, and various other meetings as required
- Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
- Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices

Qualifications/Benefits

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with adult/youth migrant and seasonal farmworker population
- Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass a background check
Preferred
- At least two years of college or vocational school
- Negotiation and mediation skills
Required Physical Demands
- Is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
