ATTIC Correctional Services is seeking an organized, people-focused Recruiter / Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources team at our Administrative office in Madison. This position plays a key role in attracting and hiring talented employees who support our mission of providing high-quality residential and community-based services.

What You'll Do
As a Recruiter / HR Assistant, you'll help guide candidates through the hiring process while supporting a variety of Human Resources functions, including:
- Create and manage job postings across multiple recruiting platforms
- Screen applications and identify qualified candidates
- Schedule interviews and coordinate the hiring process
- Assist with interviews and candidate evaluations
- Conduct background and reference checks
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Support the employment offer process, including start dates, compensation details, and onboarding
- Maintain employment records and assist with HR administrative functions
- Help ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and agency policies
- Represent ATTIC at college career fairs and recruiting events
- Assist with recruitment strategies designed to attract and retain outstanding employees
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:

- Professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with confidential information
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Skilled at building positive relationships with employees, applicants, and managers

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Human Resources or a closely related field strongly preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
- Two to three years of Human Resources and/or recruiting experience preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; HRIS experience is beneficial
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record

About ATTIC Correctional Services, Inc.

Since 1977, ATTIC Correctional Services, Inc. (ACS) has provided correctional programs for the criminal justice system. The Agency provides community-based programs that provide individuals with structure and supervision, help them acquire appropriate social behavior, and prepare them for self-sufficiency, while addressing the need for community safety. As a 501 (c) (3) private non-profit agency, ACS is governed by a Board of Directors, with further community input from regional Community Advisory Committees.

In 2007, a subsidiary called ACS Clinical Services, LLC was formed to further advance our non-profit certified treatment program initiatives providing AODA and mental health services in several locations around the State of Wisconsin .

ACS provides a variety of services, including: residential programs, counseling, clinical treatment, day report services, electronic monitoring, employment assistance, and a variety of other supportive services. ACS has extensive experience working with a culturally diverse offender population, and has special expertise in addressing substance abuse, mental health issues and working with sexually violent persons.
