Job Location: Wichita, KS 67202SUMMARY
The Recruiter at Axius Group connects our corporate office, clients, and job candidates in a client-driven recruiting environment. This role requires experience recruiting across multiple clients and job types in the aerospace industry. The recruiter is responsible for meeting hiring goals by identifying, evaluating, and placing qualified candidates. Responsibilities include managing the full recruiting life cycle — sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and supporting onboarding. Success in this position depends on strong organization, sound judgment, and clear communication. While primarily onsite at our corporate office, the role also uses remote tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams) to collaborate with clients, candidates, and colleagues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Partners with hiring managers, account managers, and HR to understand open position requirements, responsibilities, and qualifications.
- Reviews job descriptions and evaluates resumes side by side to determine candidate fit.
- Manages multiple requisitions at once, balancing speed with quality to meet client demands.
- Builds and maintains a proactive talent pipeline through job boards, networking, referrals, and direct sourcing.
- Screens and interviews candidates to assess skills, experience, and cultural alignment.
- Coordinates the interview process and prepares candidates for client interactions.
- Accurately maintains candidate records and communications in the applicant tracking system.
- Verifies prior employment and references as needed.
- Provides insight on market trends, candidate availability, and competitive pay.
- Uses Microsoft Teams and related tools to collaborate with remote colleagues and clients.
- Ensures compliance with employment laws, company policies, and client-specific requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, applicant screening, and interviewing techniques.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and candidate management systems.
- Awareness of EEO, ADA, and other employment regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of two (2) years of recruiting experience in a contract staffing, agency, or high-volume recruiting environment required.
- Strong track record of successful candidate placements and client partnership preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The Work Environment is in a climate-controlled office.
- The regular Physical Demands of the job range from sitting for long periods of time, bending, twisting, repetitive hand use, grasping, pushing and pulling, reaching at waist level and waist to shoulder level, and lifting 0-5 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds.
- The schedule of Work Hours is generally Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm with occasional early morning, evening and weekend availability.
