Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Recreational Therapy Supervisor. This leadership role is responsible for enhancing residents’ quality of life through comprehensive assessment, individualized planning, and evidence-based recreational therapy services.
The Recreational Therapy Supervisor assesses residents’ leisure preferences and quality-of-life needs, develops and evaluates individualized plans of care, and determines appropriate services in accordance with professional recreational therapy standards.
This position supervises and manages a multidisciplinary Life Enrichment team, including five Life Enrichment Specialists, two Recreational Therapists, and one Creative Expressive Arts Therapist. The supervisor provides staff with the training, guidance, and resources needed to deliver creative, person-centered programming that supports each resident’s goals, abilities, and interests.

Salary Range: $50,879.00 - $76,318.00

ABOUT BLACK MOUNTAIN NEURO-MEDICAL TREATMENT CENTER
Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

Licensed to practice Recreational Therapy by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure and two years of experience as a Recreational Therapist.
Management Preference:
Master’s Degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
