Job Description

The Parks & Recreation Department is seeking skilled and self-motivated workers for auxiliary positions teaching Gymnastics & Trampoline in our recreation programs. Queen’s Park Sportsplex offers progressive skill-based lessons for participants 2.5 years to adults.

If you have the following characteristics and qualifications, we want to hear from you:

  • At least 15 years of age

  • Experience working with children in a recreation setting

  • Strong gymnastics or trampoline background

  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting

  • Ability to prepare and execute daily lesson plans

  • Ability to give written evaluations of students

  • Ability to successfully pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Check

  • Previous related experience or course work within the field or recreation or teaching experience will be given priority.

  • Applicants with specific education and experience may be considered for Recreation Worker 2, 3, or 4 positions.

*Applicants must be available for evening and weekend programs
