At The Salvation Army Mountberry & Meadowlands Adult Day Service, the Recreation therapy assistant is accountable to the Program Services Manager to provide excellent care to clients. Primary role includes supporting participation in recreational and therapeutic activities.
The Recreation therapy assistant is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the Salvation Army’s core values, ensure client safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence while assisting with planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and services provided to the clients.
This is a contract position beginning June 29, 2026, and ending August 21, 2026. The work week is Monday to Friday 7 hours per day with a one-half hour paid lunch break. Hours of work are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm but may vary to meet program requirements.
Shifts may be scheduled at either program location.

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants must meet program eligibility requirements, including age and legal status criteria. Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $17.60 to $21.84 with a maximum of $26.20.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
