Monday-Friday | 9am-3:30pm | 30 hours total
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Certifications/Licenses: Valid NYS Driver’s License required; CPR, First Aid, and SCIP‑R certification or ability to become certified within 6 months.
Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Work Location Requirement: Community-based/onsite role.
Hourly rate: $19.8077
The Community Habilitation Specialist supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in developing life skills, community engagement, social connections, and personal independence. This role works one‑on‑one with individuals in their homes and community settings to help them achieve goals outlined in their Community Habilitation Plan and Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
