The Parks & Recreation Department is hiring a Recreation Maintenance Worker for the Treadwell Ice Arena!
The Treadwell Arena staff is a small group of dedicated individuals, and we are looking for a team player to join our crew. Ideally, we would like an individual who can safely operate machinery and equipment and is interested in providing a quality ice surface at a favorite recreational facility.
The Parks & Recreation Department is one of the largest departments within the City & Borough of Juneau, and this position manages one of Juneau’s essential recreational facilities. This position works a varied schedule approximately 20 hours per week (Monday through Sunday) 5:30am-midnight at Treadwell Arena in Douglas.
The ice rink season runs approximately from Mid-July through April each year.
Under direction of the Lead Maintenance Worker, this position is responsible for:

Not less than 18 years of age; AND
A valid Driver's License at time of appointment and for continued employment
Current First Aid/CPR certificate within 30 days of appointment
