
As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer criminal history background check, physical examination and drug screen. All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
The Summer Employment Program begins in May and lasts approximately 7 to 17 weeks.
As a Recreation Instructor at our summer camp, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, engaging, and educational experience for our campers. Here are the key components of your role:
Educational Activities:
Organize and lead educational sessions that stimulate campers’ curiosity and encourage learning.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Physical Education:
Plan and execute physical activities that promote fitness, coordination, and teamwork.
Organize games, sports, and team-building exercises.
Emphasize the importance of physical health and well-being.
Crafts and Creativity:
Provide guidance and encouragement during art sessions.
Foster a positive and supportive environment for artistic exploration.
Field Trips:
Oversee occasional field trips to local attractions, parks, or educational sites.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during outings.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate attendance records.
Health information for all campers and staff up to date and current.
Communication with parents, campers and staff done professionally and effectively.
Documentation policies adhered to.
Qualifications:
Passion for working with children and creating memorable experiences.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle group dynamics.
Must be able to obtain First aid and CPR certification.
Experience in teaching, camp counseling, or related fields (preferred)
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Required to pass a background check.
Required to complete 16 hours of health and safety paid training before summer camp begins.
Must be available to work until August
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
