How Our Employees Make an Impact:
Our Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, scheduling, and oversight of the community's shared amenities to ensure they are well-organized, accessible, and maintained in accordance with cooperative policies. This position serves as the primary point of contact for residents regarding amenity reservations, registrations, permits, and related communications while working closely with management, maintenance staff, security, and vendors.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of administrative, customer service, or property management experience.
• Experience in residential community, condominium, homeowners association, or cooperative housing management preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with management and staff.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with residents, Board members, vendors, and contractors.
• Ability to interpret and apply community rules and policies consistently.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to move throughout the property to inspect amenities.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
Working Conditions
• Primarily office-based with regular visits throughout the property.
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during pool season, community events, or annual registrations.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions while inspecting amenities.
• Accurate management of parking, storage, bike rooms, and amenity assignments.
• Timely response to resident requests and inquiries.
• Well-maintained records and waitlists.
• Positive resident service experience.
• Effective coordination with management and maintenance teams.
• Consistent enforcement of cooperative policies and procedures.
