Recreation Assistant

The Recreation Department works to improve the quality of life in Auburn Hills by providing quality recreation opportunities with a variety of year-round programs, special events, and facilities for people of all ages and abilities. All recreation employees are expected to approach each day with a focus on the City's Mission, Vision and Values.

General Purpose:Under the supervision and direction of the Department of Recreation, the Recreation Program Leader will help support programs, classes and events by co-coordinating, planning and implementing activities throughout the year to support the full-time Recreation Program Coordinators. This flexible position works with a variety of programs in various facilities throughout the city. A Recreation Leader must be a team player and willing to assist the Recreation Department to the best of their abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

18 years or older with experience in planning events, classes and programs.

High School or College graduate with relative professional experience.

Must have a valid driver's license and meet City driving history requirements in order to drive a city vehicle.

Safety: Looking for safety conscious individuals that have a desire and focus to perform the work safely, properly, and with attention to detail.

Pay Rate: $14.50 - 15.50 per hour depending on qualifications
