The Substance Screening Treatment Recovery for Youth (SSTRY) program provides outpatient substance abuse treatment to teens and young adults aged 12-24 utilizing an evidence-based approach by promoting a healthy lifestyle without the use of drugs and/or alcohol. The program is time limited, consisting of 10 individual sessions inclusive of parent/guardian and family sessions for the first 3 months of treatment. Following the first phase, is an additional 3 months of treatment to help reinforce skills in the community. Sessions cover a wide range of skills such as problem solving, communication, understanding the role of substance use in their lives, drug refusal, and many others.

Duties & Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s preferred, HS +4 years or AS/AA +2 years lived experience considered.
Experience: 2+ years working with identified populations and specifically as an RSS preferred. Self identifies as an individual with mental health and or substance use disorder in long term recovery.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:Recovery Support Specialist Certification from Advocacy Unlimited, Recovery Coach Certification from CCAR, or an equivalent certification related to the field of Recovery Support required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Valid Driver’s License required.

COMPENSATION*
Starting at $20.30/hr min., and up commensurate upon experience.
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
