Location: Pelican House, 10 Currer Street, Bradford, BD1 5BA

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (may be expected to work one late shift weekly, if needed)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240.03 per annum

About the Service

New Vision Bradford provides support to adults across the Bradford District who are experiencing issues with drug and alcohol use.

As a Recovery Coordinator, you’ll work as part of the wider service to provide person-centred treatment and recovery support, working collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, families and other professionals to help people achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.

About the Role

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Coordinator to support people throughout every stage of their recovery journey, from initial assessment and engagement through structured treatment and towards sustained recovery.

You’ll manage your own caseload, completing assessments and developing personalised recovery and treatment plans. You’ll build positive therapeutic relationships with the people you support and deliver both one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions.

This is a varied role where you’ll combine effective case management with harm reduction, safeguarding and partnership working, helping people access the treatment, community resources and wider support they need to progress in their recovery.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a caseload, developing, implementing and regularly reviewing individual recovery and treatment plans.
• Complete triage, screening and comprehensive assessments with people accessing the service.
• Support individuals to progress from initial engagement through structured treatment and towards sustained recovery.
• Deliver high-quality one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Complete risk assessments, risk management plans and safeguarding assessments, taking appropriate action to protect people from harm.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues, families, partner agencies and community services to provide coordinated support.
• Help people access treatment, community resources and opportunities that strengthen their recovery and independence.
• Support harm-reduction activities, which may include drug screening, BBV testing and immunisation services, needle exchange and tailored drug and alcohol harm-reduction interventions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, reports and information using relevant systems.
• Promote visible recovery and help ensure peer-support opportunities are accessible to people using the service.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards this qualification in post.
• The ability to deliver effective interventions, including brief interventions and psychosocial approaches.
• Experience of delivering one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
• The ability to provide person-centred support while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• An understanding of assessment, recovery planning, risk management and safeguarding.
• Knowledge of substance misuse and harm-reduction approaches would be advantageous.
• Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic systems.
• A relevant professional qualification in areas such as addiction studies, counselling, social work or another therapeutic discipline would be advantageous.
