Examples of duties

Four years of experience in social services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in social services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in social services; OR

An advanced degree in social work, education, business, public, or health administration, or a social sciences field.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:

· Review case information to identify and establish overpayment claims for SNAP, FITAP, and KCSP programs.

· Determine the applicable period and amount of overpayments based on case findings and program requirements.

· Monitor discovery dates and prioritize claims approaching established federal deadlines.

· Process and establish overpayment claims accurately and within required timeframes.

· Maintain complete and accurate documentation to support overpayment claims and recovery efforts.

· Ensure compliance with federal requirements while protecting state and federal funds and strengthening program integrity.

· Identify and share findings that support fraud prevention and improve the efficiency of benefit recovery efforts.
