The Records Retention Clerk 2willprepare, research, scan, and index sensitive
and confidential information/documentsutilizing an electronic imaging system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Prep, scan index sensitive and confidential
documents utilizing an electronic archivesystem. Verifyvarious documents,
records, letters, invoices, and formsonce scanned. Provide and assist
customers with timelines of destruction,retention, and storage of Division
Records in accordance with Division federal,state, and industry regulationsof
record retention. Perform researchrequests on archived records and information
as it relates to record retentionstorage retrieval system. Troubleshoot production
scanners and imaging equipment for minorproblems. Answer the telephone,
give and receive information, and relaymessages. Order and maintain office
supplies as needed. Operate divisionvehicle, enter/retrieve data utilizing
computer equipment; utilize various wordprocessing software packages; operate
various officemachines, micro-fiche, and micro-filmequipment. Perform other
duties as directed.
A valid driver’s licensefrom the state of residence isrequired.
CERTIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or General EducationDevelopment (GED) is required.
EXPERIENCE
Must be able to operate a calculatorand computer input/output equipment.Must
have an occupationally significant combinationof understanding systematic,
numerical, record-keeping, and data gatheringprocedures; verbal ability to
communicate with people in acquiring informationand answering inquiries.
Ability to perform clerical dutiesincluding composing correspondence using
proper rules of grammar,spelling and punctuation; clericalperception to
proofread, index, and file materials;and ability to follow instructionsand
procedures.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Worksin the office majority of the time.Must have successfully completed
appropriate Clerical/Secretarial TrainingProgram for promotional progression.
Physical Demands: Requires sedentary workinvolving standing or walking for
brief periods, exerting up to 20pounds of force on a regular basis;and some
dexterity in operating office equipment. The positionrequires normal visual
acuity and field of vision, hearingand speaking abilities.

Electricity is supplied to MLGW by the Tennessee Valley Authority, while natural gas is purchased from a variety of suppliers and transported by three pipeline companies — Texas Gas Transmission Corporation, Trunkline Gas Company and ANR Pipeline Company. Memphis receives its water from one of the largest artesian water systems in the world.
