Office of Employee and Business Services
The Office of Employee and Business Services (OEBS) provides customer service and operational support to ODJFS through five bureaus: Business Services, Civil Rights and Labor Relations, Human Resources, Multimedia Services, and Training and Educational Services. What You Will Do
Open mail with a mass mail slicer or manually as needed.
Prepare all hard copy mail for scanning by removing paper clips, staples and repairing torn edges.
Sort and organize paper documents into the proper sequence according to customer defined guidelines.
Occasionally, you will send hard‑copy mail through ODJFS services, either certified or via inner‑office delivery.
Operate multi-function printer and digital imaging equipment to prepare, scan and quality check hard copy mail.
Verify scanned documents to ensure quality images through designated software.
Respond to inquiries and requests for information about mail.
Keep supervisor informed of any equipment or production issues.
S tore all mail records and dispose of them according to retention schedules.
Schedule: Full-time.
Hours: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Location: 2098 Integrity Drive, Columbus, OH 43209.
Travel: Occasional travel within the state of Ohio.

The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
Option 1
Formal education in English & arithmetic that includes reading and writing common vocabulary, fractions, decimals and percentages;
AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in records management;
AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations or business communications with emphasis on writing letters & oral communication.
Option 2:
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 27Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $21.93 per hour) These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
