DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Records management - perform various clerical and administrative duties related to the storage, maintenance and servicing of court records: receive, examine and arrange records; input records inventory into court records management database; distribute records to internal court customers; maintain accurate circulation records; input information into word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs; assist in the inventorying, retrieval, refiling, and interfiling of records; assist in the receiving, moving, and storing of records; perform related duties as requested by supervisor.
Reference - assist in the operation of the records research room: provide reference service to onsite researchers by providing access to publicly-available court records; assist in handling telephone, mail, and email requests; use automated and manual reference sources and/or databases to search and locate information; instruct users regarding reference-related policies and procedures; monitor the handling and use of record material; furnish reproductions and certifications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate - college graduate preferred. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access required. Knowledge of computer records information systems desirable. Ability to perform physical labor involving climbing ladders and lifting and moving 50-pound boxes required.
