Record to Report Specialist (Temporary)

The Record to Report Specialist delivers consistent, accurate, and timely financial accounting and reporting services within the GBS Finance function. The role supports General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Cash Management, and Financial Supply Chain processes, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, JTI policies, and internal control standards. Working closely with markets across APAC and the Americas, the position enables high‑quality financial reporting, strong governance, and continuous process improvement in line with Service Level Agreements.

As a Record to Report Specialist in the area of Accounting & Finance, you will:

• Execute end‑to‑end R2R activities, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Controlling, and FSCM transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with SLAs.
• Perform month‑end closing activities in accordance with global closing schedules, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to reporting timelines.
• Prepare and deliver financial analysis and reports, including bank reconciliations, VAT/GST reporting, and other required outputs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, corporate policies, and internal controls, including execution and documentation of J‑SOX controls and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to resolve queries, provide financial insights, and ensure effective communication across markets and teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing processes, maintaining documentation, supporting system enhancements, and contributing to operational efficiency and standardization.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of work experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS, with experience in month‑end closing and financial reporting processes.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications; experience with Financial Closing Cockpit or BlackLine is an advantage.
• Good understanding of internal controls, J‑SOX compliance, and indirect tax concepts such as VAT and GST.
• Very good written and spoken English communication skills, with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
