As the Record to Report (RtR) Global Process Owner Analyst – Intercompany, you will play a key role in supporting the digital transformation and optimization of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s global Intercompany (ICO) processes through data analytics, automation opportunities, AI-enabled solutions and process standardization initiatives. You will partner with Global Process Owners, Digital Enablement, Automation, IT, Operations, Financial Accounting teams to improve process efficiency, data quality, and business insights.
This role supports the execution of the Global Intercompany Strategy by driving digital transformation initiatives, enabling automation and AI adoption, supporting Data Lake development and validation, improving master data governance, and delivering continuous process improvements across the global Intercompany landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Global Process Ownership Support
- Support the execution of the Global Intercompany Strategy and roadmap.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of global Intercompany policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Support process standardization efforts across regions, divisions, and ERP platforms.
- Document process flows, business requirements, and future-state operating models.
Project Management and Support
- Lead and coordinate small to medium-sized transformation projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of project plans, monitor progress, track risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Support business case development and benefits realization tracking for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to identify data quality issues and drive resolution.
- Contribute to establishing sustainable data governance practices for Intercompany processes and master data.
Automation & Digital Transformation
- Support digital transformation initiatives across Intercompany processes.
- Explore, evaluate, test and support the implementation of AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, reporting, decision-making, and user experience across RtR Intercompany processes.
- Partner with Automation, IT, and Digital Enablement teams to design, test, and deploy process enhancements.
- Participate in AI and automation projects by providing process expertise, testing support, business requirements, and data validation
ERP & System Support
- Navigate multiple SAP and other ERP environments to perform data analysis, data validation, testing, troubleshooting, and process support.
- Support process and system changes associated with ERP enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.
- Partner with system owners to identify opportunities for improved system utilization and standardization.
Continuous Improvement
- Apply Practical Process Improvement (PPI) principles to identify inefficiencies and drive sustainable process enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation and process redesign.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to productivity, quality, and compliance improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships across Finance, Global Business Services, Financial Accounting, Operations, IT, Automation, Digital Enablement, and Data Engineering teams.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and alignment across global organizations.
- Act as a trusted partner supporting enterprise transformation objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of dynamic experience in Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, Process Excellence, Business Transformation, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of Record to Report processes, with Intercompany process knowledge preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP and/or multiple ERP environments.
- Experience supporting automation, AI, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience participating in projects, process improvement initiatives, or system implementations preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Curiosity for emerging technologies and a passion for leveraging AI, automation, and digital solutions to improve finance processes.
Location & Travel Requirements
- This position does not require relocation; however, travel may be required (~10%).
