Detailed Responsibilities
Business Process Experts(BPE)are responsibleforshaping,measuringand continuously improvingprocesselementsto deliver business value. The rolepartners with theBusiness ProcessOwner(BPO)andother BPEstomanage the current process(including ensuring proposed changes are aligned to the intended future state), definethefutureend‑to‑end process vision and roadmap, ensuringhigh‑quality, well‑controlled and user‑centric processesare created,anddrivethe transition from current state to future state through disciplined execution, strong governance and effective change delivery.They support the BPO inmaximising valuedeliverythrough rigorous performance management, adoptionoversightand continuous improvementactivities,toensuring that committed benefits are realised and sustained.
The BPE needs toexhibitstrong leadership,deep understanding of business processes, communication skills, stakeholderengagement, project managementabilitiesand commitment to continuous improvement.
TreasuryBusiness Process Expert
The Treasury Business Process Expert willrequirea strong and practical understanding ofHaleon’sTreasury operating model and the readiness activities being performed ahead of the Enterprise Transformation Programme. This includes the ability to assess current-state Treasury processes, identify standardisation, simplification and automation opportunities, and translate Treasury requirements into robust future-state designs across cash positioning, liquidity management, bank connectivity, payments and collections, bank account and master data governance, settlements, foreign exchange, hedging, intercompany flows, treasury accounting inputs, reporting and control activities.
The role will be expected to bring together process, systems,dataand controls knowledge to ensure that Treasury design decisions are aligned with the wider Record-to-Decision framework, SAP S/4HANA enablement, existing TreasuryplatformsandHaleon’sgovernance requirements. A key focus will be ensuring that Treasury data flows are complete, controlled and decision-useful, supportingaccuratefinancial reporting, real-time visibility, stronger risk management and effective business partnering across Finance, Technology, Tax, Commercial and external banking partners.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, treasury management systems, bank connectivity platforms, data governance, reporting tools and transformation delivery will be an advantage, particularly where this has involved process design, migration readiness, testing, adoption, control embedding and transition from current-state to future-state ways of working.
Design Plan and Coordination:
Collaborate withthe BPO andtherelevant function(s)operating unitstoensuredesignmeetsrequirements and strategicobjectives
Facilitate workshops to gather input,feedback, andsocialise recommendations made withthe functionsoperating unitsto refine and finaliseprocessdesignin partnership withthe BPOandotherBPEs
Collaborate with the BPO to document“to be” processes;andsupportevaluation of“as is” processesidentifyingbottle necks, inefficiencies, andduplication.
Drivedecisions through relevant governance forums,ensuring decisions are communicated tostakeholdersin a timely manner
Align designs with programme timelines and milestones, ensuring coordination with other functional areasand interdependent programmes
Readiness for Delivery:
Support theFunctional Leader in evaluatingthe preparedness oftheirfunctional area for programme delivery,identifyinganygapsand proposing solutions
Support the business change team in understanding people implications for the change and defining and delivering relevant interventions to create conditions for successful adoption.
Createappropriate documentationfor new processes; partnering with Training & Adoption team to developappropriate training/upskillingfor colleagues to support adoption and benefit realisation.
ManagingTransition phases:
Partner with the Business Continuity Manager toestablishand manageinterim operating states to support business continuity duringthe change
Collaborate withoperational teams to design and implement interim processes, ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations.
Ensure that plans are in place to transition from interim states to permanentprocessesin a sustainable way
Stakeholder Engagement:
Fostereffectiverelationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
Communicate effectively, adapting messaging for different audiences to ensure clarity and engagementin the programmeobjectives
Champion the interest ofthe process vision, ensuring priorities are reflected in programmedecision-makingand feedback loops are effective
Experience and Key Competencies:
Experience working in complex, global organisations, ideally within Consumer Health, or FMCG sectors.
S4Hana experience is an advantage.
Technical skills
Stronganalytical skillsability to analyse complex processes, understand workflow patterns, andidentifyinefficiencies.
Process focus:leverages process knowledge toidentifyopportunities, work with stakeholders to drive and implement change
Systemunderstanding:experienced in data flows and information tools and can apply emerging trends
Effective governance: applies knowledge of policies toidentifycontrol gaps anddesign solutions / control measures.
Reviews process performance (KPIs and SLAs)and adherence to policies and frameworks
Project Management Skills: Ability to plan, manage, and execute process improvement initiatives.
Controls andcompliance:has in depth understanding of the control environment of business and works closely with risk management.
