The In House Carpenter position is a career opportunity in the property restoration and reconstruction industry. This role is responsible for performing on-site construction, remodeling, and repair work on residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, storms, and other disasters. Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Two (2)+ years of carpentry, drywall, remodeling, or construction experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, carpentry techniques, drywall installation, and general construction practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Pride in completing projects on time while maintaining excellent craftsmanship.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions and priorities.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and safely work at ceiling heights.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working in environments with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Ability to safely work around construction materials, solvents, and cleaning products.
  • Wallpaper installation experience is a plus but not required.

Job Duties
  • Perform on-site reconstruction, remodeling, and repair work as directed by the Director of Reconstruction and Project Managers.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall on walls and ceilings.
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to wood or metal framing.
  • Install metal corner bead and other drywall finishing materials.
  • Tape, mud, sand, float, and texture walls and ceilings to achieve high-quality finishes.
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim, doors, baseboards, and other finish work.
  • Set up and safely use ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment as needed.
  • Protect customer property by covering floors, furniture, trim, and finished surfaces before work begins.
  • Contain work areas to minimize dust and debris in occupied spaces.
  • Follow project specifications, scopes of work, and company quality standards.
  • Complete daily job documentation, notes, and updates in the company's operating system (RMS).
  • Communicate project progress, arrival times, and schedule updates with Project Managers and customers.
  • Capture progress photos throughout each phase of assigned projects.
  • Assist with special maintenance, reconstruction, and emergency repair projects as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
