Position Summary:
We are looking for a full-time Reconciliation Specialist responsible for maintaining and monitoring daily reconciliation of various suspense accounts along with other administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs daily reconciliations between administration system and the general ledger. Able to communicate with various areas to resolve any outages.
- May prepare basic journal entries in the administration system and/or the general ledger to clear any reconciliation outages.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation suspense reports for external customers.
- Perform manual accounting entries for other departments for voids/reissues/ and other required transactions.
- Assist with general administrative functions for annual tax and reporting requirements.
- Serve as a backup for premium accounting assisting with billing reconciliation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Insurance industry background is preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Quick learning ability and adaptability to change
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with great attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a Windows-based environment
- Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and phone availability
