Oppenheimer Asset Management (‘OAM’) is seeking an individual to join our Reconciliation Team in New York City. The successful candidate will receive a robust internal training program which exposes them to the various OAM functions and team members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliations for SMAs across multiple custodians, identifying and resolving breaks in a timely manner
  • Research and process corporate actions—dividends, mergers, spin-offs, tender offers—ensuring accurate reflection in client accounts
  • Liaise with custodians, brokers, and internal teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain and enhance reconciliation workflows, leveraging tools like Excel, Bloomberg, and reconciliation platforms
  • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles, ensuring all positions and transactions are fully reconciled
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk

Job Requirements/Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • 3–5 years of experience in SMA reconciliation and/or corporate actions within asset management, wealth management, or a custodian bank
  • Strong understanding of equity and fixed income products, corporate action events, and settlement processes
  • Proficiency with reconciliation tools and market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Eagle, Advent, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills for working with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Able to work with staff that are onsite

Compensation:

For job postings in New York State, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the State of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus
