About Team:
PICO system prototyping team’s mission is to incubate the next generation XR products including MR headsets, AR glasses and more smart wearables. Based on ByteDance group’s vision, the team independently comes up with product vision, roadmap, definition, architecture as well as initial designs including experience, structural, electrical, firmware as well as software. The startup style team has always been working on system-level missions that are tremendously commercially valuable yet seem technically impossible, therefore, we are also called the IMF.

Responsibilities
- Build and productionize recommendation models (collaborative filtering, content-based, hybrid, deep learning approaches).
- Design ranking and retrieval pipelines for low-latency, high-scale serving.
- Partner with product, data science, and engineering to define personalization strategy.
- Run offline/online experiments (A/B tests) and iterate using metrics such as CTR, retention, and revenue lift.
- Improve data pipelines, feature stores, and model monitoring for reliability and model quality.
- Contribute to MLOps practices including CI/CD, model versioning, and observability.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $212800 - $450000 annually.
