As a Recipe Formulation Specialist IF & Toddler, your mission is to drive the product recipe lifecycle from new product brief to launch, ensuring compliant formulation, effective recipe management and ingredient specification excellence. You’ll make a difference by collaborating closely with operations, quality, manufacturing, product, research and development, regulatory and medical affairs teams across markets and factories. How you’ll make an impact as a Recipe Formulation Specialist IF & Toddler

  • Lead compliant recipe development from product brief to launch, ensuring scientifically robust formulations across categories, factories, and markets.
  • Translate formulation science into fit-for-purpose recipes by integrating ingredient functionality, nutrient targets, process losses, shelf-life evolution, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Embed compliance by design throughout innovation and renovation projects, ensuring validation, approvals, and documentation align with category rules, internal standards, and external requirements.
  • Build technical capability by sharing formulation expertise, best practices, standards, and training with recipe and ingredient specialists, Product Developers, CTAGs, AGs, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Provide technical decision support through formulation proposals, trade-off assessments, variability analyses, and proactive risk mitigation across ingredients, quality, regulatory, nutrition, and manufacturing dimensions.
  • Drive simplification and harmonization of recipes, ingredients, and specifications to reduce portfolio complexity, improve operational efficiency, and support scale-up or transfer activities.
  • Be a force for continuous improvements by challenging existing practices and processes, improving existing tools, tracking and reporting to increase portfolio visibility.
  • Safeguard business continuity by maintaining approval readiness, monitoring formulation-related KPIs, and responding effectively to compliance, data, or recipe management challenges.

What will make you successful

  • Scientific education in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Pharmacist or a related field, combined with strong hands-on experience in recipe formulation, compliance, and management of nutritional or food products.
  • Using analytical thinking, problem solving and digital tools to manage recipe data, good knowledge of statistical calculations.
  • Solid understanding of ingredient contributions, process and shelf-life losses, manufacturing feasibility, and the regulatory environment, with the ability to translate these factors into compliant and robust recipe solutions.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and strong proficiency in relevant systems and digital tools, including SAP-RM and an understanding of DevEX and CAT, together with excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Communicating fluently in English.
