Greets patients, physicians and other hospital staff utilizing services provided by the Department. Receives incoming telephone calls, makes satisfactory disposition of calls or transfers to the appropriate party.Performs clerical functions required to process and maintain all records associated with department insuring accuracy and completeness.Assists Physicians and Technical staff in locating and obtaining the appropriate patient files. Coordinates the radiographic images and files to ensure accuracy in the patients’ records. Prepares images and for release as requested obtaining accurate documentation to insure patient confidentiality. Ensures that returns are filed within an acceptable time frame.Participates in the on-going process of CQI via documentation, data collection and customer satisfaction. Understands and applies customer relations skills. Participates and attends department meeting as required.Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have full knowledge and understanding to speak and write the English language.
Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
Basic knowledge of computer/word processing applications.
Ability to communicate with patients and all levels of the organization.
Ability to adapt to critical situations and work independently with minimal or no supervision
