The Temporary Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting customers and employees through interaction in person, over the phone, and via email and for providing support to office team members. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and be comfortable with taking initiative and working with and supporting other team members. The shifts are Monday - Friday and the wage range is $20 - $23 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide superior customer service with a professional and friendly greeting to all customers who call or enter the building.
• Receive, direct, and relay telephone and fax messages.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies.
• Maintain coffee and supplies.
• Provide data entry and other administrative support.
• General housekeeping duties as required.
• Use the company computer system to enter orders.
• Communicate issues and successes to appropriate superior(s) respectfully and in a timely manner.
• Assist team members with projects, initiatives, or functions.
• Follow all regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
• Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
• A positive can-do attitude is essential.
• Office, clerical, or similar experience is an asset.
• High degree of reading, writing, numeracy, and oral communication skills (speak, read, and write in English).
• Strong computer skills.
• Basic accounting knowledge is an asset.
• High attention to detail.
• A pleasant phone manner.
• Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be comfortable meeting the public.
• Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
