A Brief Overview

Under the supervision of the Human Resource Directors the Human Resources Receptionist receives phone calls and visitors at the front desk of the Human Resources Building by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately to members of the Benefits and Wellness, Employee Health and Employee Relations, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition teams.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Associate's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 1 year Clerical support experience. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to efficiently use word processing programs such as Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), e-mail, and database software as applicable to the department. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to use common office equipment including but not limited to: multi line phone system, copier, fax, scanner machine, office filing system, and shredder. (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and customer service skills as this position must communicate and interact effectively with a large number of professionals and individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including Stormont Vail Health workers, various outside organizations, and the general public. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to be a self-starter, complete work independently, and prioritize daily duties. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to have a broad knowledge of general office procedures and schedule appointments as needed. (Required proficiency)

What you will do

  • Greet applicants, team members and guests, notifying receiving Human Resources team members. Knowledgeably direct guests to team member that can assist them.
  • Receive incoming calls, respond independently, answering questions, providing information or directing to appropriate team member.
  • Assist team members and applicants with using onsite computers.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail.
  • Maintain filing and records management systems and other office flow procedures, ensuring that information and records are easily accessible.
  • Responsible for badging; new hires, team member replacements, student, and contract staff.
  • Order and maintain departmental supplies and copies/printers/fax machine.
  • Accurately perform secretarial duties including but not limited to data entry, filing, and correspondence, copying and scanning documents.
  • Identify and complete facility requests and IT forms.
  • Backup to Human Resources Department Assistant.
