Job Description

Receptionist, Social & Behavioral Sciences (FWS Only), SF1RECEPTHSBS (FA26)

Student Worker Eligibility:

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.

If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day activities of the Social/Behavioral Sciences Division and provide backup support to other Divisions as needed. Provide reception and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community.

Greet students and public, answer phones, provide word processing, mail services, filing, and general office assistance.

Provide information regarding College programs, procedures and processes.

Light cleaning and assistance in keeping facilities neat and orderly.

Maintain friendly, welcoming attitude.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education
  • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for the current semester during Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
  • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
  • Student must qualify for Federal Work Study.
  • Experience
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel is preferable.
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • COD Training
  • Compliance Training

Working Conditions:

This student position does not require pre-employment testing.

Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
