No cosmetology or barber license is required for the receptionist position. However, it can be a great opportunity for individuals exploring a future career in the industry to gain salon experience while working toward licensure. Current cosmetology and barber students are encouraged to apply.

  A: Yes. As a receptionist, you are the first point of contact for customers and an important partner to the stylists. You are responsible for creating a comfortable, friendly, and professional environment by greeting customers warmly, keeping the salon clean and organized, providing accurate wait times, and helping manage the flow of guests.
• Q: Will I be expected to stand during my shift as a receptionist?
  A: Yes. The receptionist role in Great Clips salons is an active, on-your-feet position. You should be prepared to stand for the majority of your shift while greeting customers, maintaining the front area, and staying engaged with the flow of the salon.
• Q: Do I need salon experience to apply?
  A: No. Prior salon experience isn’t required. Training is provided, and customer service skills are most important.
• Q: What kind of training is provided for Receptionists?
  A: Receptionists receive training on salon systems, customer service, and daily operations.
• Q: Are there opportunities to grow from Receptionist into other roles?
