Maven Dental Cairns City is looking for a Casual Receptionist to join our friendly front desk team.

This casual position offers regular shifts with the opportunity to work 30+ hours per week, depending on operational requirements and availability.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys reception work, connecting with patients, and being part of a supportive dental team. You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our practice.

As our Dental Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of our practice, creating a positive patient experience while working closely with our clinical and administration teams to keep our practice running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming and assisting patients with a warm, professional demeanor
• Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment book efficiently
• Handling patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
• Coordinating with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care
• Managing patient inquiries both in person and over the phone
• There will be an aspect of dental assisting, on an ad hoc basis as needed.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years dental assisting or reception experience, or hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting
• Bring a friendly and approachable personality with a genuine desire to help others
• Have strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
• Be confident using computer systems and administrative software (experience with D4W is an advantage)
• Be reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
• Be eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
