Frankton Dental in Queenstown is seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join our friendly team on a permanent, full-time basis. As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for everyone who walks through our doors. • Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional manner and manage the reception area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Answer and direct telephone calls promptly and courteously, taking messages and providing information as required
• Schedule and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software, ensuring efficient diary management
• Maintain accurate patient records and handle administrative documentation with attention to detail
• Process patient check-ins and check-outs, collecting necessary information and payments where applicable
• Provide administrative support to the dental team, including filing, photocopying, and general office duties
• Manage patient enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic reception area in accordance with dental practice standards
• Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all patient information is recorded correctly
• Support the smooth running of the practice by assisting with various administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a reception or front desk role within a healthcare or dental setting
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals
• Strong organisational and time keeping abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using computers and office software, including experience with appointment scheduling systems
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
• Professional telephone manner and customer service ethos
• Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks and data entry
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support colleagues
• Desirable experience with dental practice management software or similar healthcare administration systems
• Desirable knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
