Receptionist
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, families, and vendors in a long-term care setting. This role provides administrative and clerical support while maintaining a welcoming, professional, and secure environment. The Receptionist plays a key role in communication, safety, and visitor management.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet and assist residents, families, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
• Answer and route incoming phone calls efficiently and accurately
• Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and support security protocols
• Provide general information regarding the facility while maintaining confidentiality
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, copying, mail distribution, and data entry
• Communicate promptly with nursing, administration, and other departments as needed
• Monitor lobby and common areas to ensure a safe and pleasant environment
• Maintain resident and employee confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations per facility procedures
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor with a positive and compassionate attitude
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living setting
• Knowledge of basic office equipment and computer applications
• Familiarity with healthcare privacy and confidentiality standards
