We're looking for a professional, friendly and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Front Office team. If you enjoy meeting people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for guests, you'll play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming arrival experience. You'll manage check-ins and check-outs, respond to guest enquiries and ensure every interaction reflects the high standards of service that Rendezvous Heritage Hotel Auckland is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide an exceptional first impression of the hotel
• Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
• Respond to guest enquiries and provide information about hotel services and local attractions
• Handle reservations, amendments and room allocation requests
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest records
• Assist with guest requests and resolve concerns professionally and promptly
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Maintain Front Office presentation and operational standards
• Support the team with administrative and reception duties as required

About You

You'll bring:

• Previous experience in a customer service, reception, hospitality or front office role
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
• A professional and positive attitude
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays

Desirable

• Previous hotel reception or front office experience
• Experience using hotel property management systems
• Knowledge of Auckland attractions and local tourism offerings
• Additional language skills
