Job Description

Pay: $17.75 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, 8 am -5 pm, Monday - Friday

Work with a purpose! Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Bluebonnet Detention Facility in Anson, TX. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staffwhile helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.

What you'll do: You'll be responsible for central communications and performing related clerical tasks.

Essential Functions:

  1. Route incoming and inter-office calls and make connections with outside lines for outgoing calls.
  2. Place long-distance calls and keep record of all long-distance calls, outgoing and incoming reversed charge calls.
  3. Take messages for staff and detainees and forward as appropriate.
  4. Keep directory of location and telephone extension for assigned personnel.
  5. Type correspondence, reports and letters; proofread material to verify accuracy.
  6. Perform data entry and process documents as assigned.
  7. Maintain records, files and appropriate office supplies.
  8. Operate office equipment such as copying and calculating machines.
  9. Under direction, order and coordinate communication services.
  10. Greet and direct visitors to the proper office.
  11. Log and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail.
  12. This position requires long periods of sitting and at times may require long periods of walking and standing.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six (6) months of clerical or administrative experience is preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish, speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing required.
  • Must successfully complete required preservice training.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
