Job Description

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: 477-Fund- Employment & training

SUPERVISOR: 477 Director/ Assistant Director

FLSA: Non - Exempt

SALARY RANGE: $14.00- $18.00

ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.

CPN Workforce services personnel may be assigned to provide services to clients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.

Greet and direct incoming applicants, on-going participants, and other visitors to appropriate personnel or department for assistance. Maintain multi-line switchboard. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Maintain computer software tracking system for requisitions and other services provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet people as they come in,
  • Maintain visitors/participants sign in log.
  • Determine who visitors need to see, give directions and/or announce to counselors accordingly.
  • Manage multi-line phone, transfer calls and/or take messages as appropriate.
  • Process incoming & outgoing mail.
  • Manage tracking of requisitions, fuel vouchers, and other items utilizing a Microsoft software program.
  • Maintain basic office machines such as fax and copier.
  • Oversee departmental office supplies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Keep track of staff availability; update IN/OUT tracking mechanism.
  • Review newspaper articles; Copy & distribute articles pertaining to Employment, Training, Job Opportunities plus any articles relating to Tribal operations.
  • Light typing duties to include but not limited to requisitions and various other tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pleasant speaking voice with good communication skills.
  • Familiar with computer keyboard, word processor, and/or typewriter.
  • Must possess a reasonably clear driving record as required to be eligible to drive tribally insured vehicles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Repetitive work at the computer.
  • Some bending and stretching.
  • Light lifting for file management and miscellaneous clerical office needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office environment with some travel to satellite offices and/or for training.
  • May transport clients in tribal vehicle for business purposes.
