We are looking for an experience and efficient corporate receptionist who is ready to move into a role with additional facility management responsibilities. If you thrive on variety, enjoy a challenge, and pride yourself on your organisational skills, this role could be the perfect fit.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Building Manager—managing contractors, updating reports, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our site. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, so a professional appearance and strong communication skills are essential.
This exciting opportunity is based in a stunning building just a short walk from Temple Meads Station.
Salary - £30,186 pa
Hours - 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
Reception
- You will become the face of the building, ensuring everyone receives a warm and professional welcome
- Take ownership of a well-presented and organised reception area that reflects the high standards of the estate
- Meeting, greeting and registering all visitors, following appropriate protocols
- Develop a good understanding of the local area, using this information to maintain a local amenities information file
- General administration, as required
Building management
- You will quickly establish yourself as ‘the face of the building’ and the go to person for questions / queries
- Work closely with the Building Manager – confidently reporting building issues and helping manage to resolution
- Build a rapport with all service partners (contractors, cleaners, security) to ensure consistency of standards
- Manage contractors visiting the building to undertake regular maintenance, issuing keys as required and updating the progress / maintenance log
- Produce a weekly site report for the building management team concisely summarising all activities that have taken place during the week
- Prepare a weekly tenant email detailing relevant building news, ensuring the content is professional and meets brand guidelines
Tenant experience
- Produce a monthly e-newsletter to update tenants on local initiatives and events, ensuring content is always on brand
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in a front of house reception role and are ready for a new challenge
- You have facilities management experience (desirable)
- Personable and proactive with a confident manner and able to deliver impeccable customer service
- Proactive, self-motivated and thrive in an environment where you are required to multitask
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills and able to confidently communicate with key stakeholders
- You are a competent Microsoft Office / PC systems user and willing to learn in house systems and processes
