Job Description


A leading national solar distributor is seeking a professional

Receptionist

with excellent front-of-house customer service skills to join their team

to start immediately on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with an opportunity to go permanent.

This on-site role is pivotal in ensuring smooth front-desk operations, welcoming clients, and coordinating customer interactions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superb telephonic etiquette, a calm demeanour under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple requests from both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage front-desk operations, greeting and coordinating clients on arrival.

  • Handle switchboard operations and manage multiple calls with professionalism.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to clients and visitors.

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate client meetings.

  • Deliver administrative and clerical support to the office team.

  • Maintain a welcoming, organised, and professional reception environment.

  • Assist with inquiries efficiently and direct them appropriately.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to a busy office environment.


Requirements


  • M

    inimum 3 years’ experience in reception and office administration.

  • Proven switchboard and front desk management experience.

  • Polished telephone etiquette and strong English communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, well-presented demeanour.

  • Strong multitasking ability and effective time management skills.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative attitude.

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (especially Excel & Google Sheets).

  • Some sales ability or experience is advantageous.


Benefits


  • This is a full-time on-site position,

    based in Muizenberg, Cape Town to start immediately.

  • Office hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.
